Soil Monitoring at Scale – Advances in Digital Methods and Modelling
Organised by DIH-LEAF (Digital Innovation Hub in Livestock, Environment, Agriculture, and Forests), the workshop will bring together researchers, practitioners, and other stakeholders to explore how digital tools are transforming soil monitoring and management.
Discussions will cover the use of remote sensing, drones, sensors, artificial intelligence, and modelling approaches, with a focus on their practical application in soil and land management. Participants will gain insights into current developments, real-world challenges, and the barriers that still limit broader uptake. The workshop will also provide an opportunity to exchange experiences and reflect on how to move from research-driven solutions towards practical, scalable implementation.
